CLUSTERS, NANOPARTICLES, COMPOSITES
Assoc. Prof. R. Kotsilkova - Thematic Leader
NCNT Partner institutions are involved in new developments related to clusters, crystal growth and synthesis of nanoparticles. Currently a great deal of attention is being paid to incorporating of nanoparticles in polymers, metals and ceramics, thus producing of nanocomposites. The following technological applications have emerged recently in Bulgarian research laboratories: new catalytic systems; lithium-ion batteries; semiconductors and sensors; engineering, space and bio-medical applications.
